Introduction
Established in 1980, Sutton Dental Practice has been a cornerstone of dental care in Hull. In November 2020, Dr. Oliver Pierce, following in his father’s footsteps, assumed leadership as Principal Dentist, marking a new chapter in the practice’s history.
Dr Pierce transitioned the practice from NHS services to a private, membership-based model. This shift aimed to provide patients with enhanced access to comprehensive dental care, including same-day emergency appointments and personalised treatment plans.
To reflect this new direction, Dr Pierce and Nikki Pierce collaborated with MoxieWorks on a comprehensive rebranding initiative. The project encompassed the design and development of a new logo, cohesive brand guidelines, updated marketing materials, and a new website. Additionally, professional practice photography was conducted to authentically showcase the clinic’s welcoming environment.
The Goal
The Sutton Dental team approached us to create a cohesive new identity and improve their online presence. Their existing website and branding no longer reflected the high standard of care provided or the evolving direction of the practice. They wanted a professional and approachable brand identity, supported by a clean, user-friendly website that clearly showcased their services and reassured patients. Improving local search visibility through SEO was also a key goal.
Website and SEO
We began with strategy and planning sessions to define the site’s structure, tone and functionality. From there, we created wireframes and initial design concepts that reflected the new branding and patient-first messaging. The website design focused on usability, simplicity, and clear calls to action across all devices.
At the start of the project, we conducted detailed keyword research and competitor analysis to guide the sitemap and content creation. Each page was written to be informative, engaging, and optimised for local SEO – helping the practice reach new audiences while staying aligned with the warm, friendly tone of the brand.
Built in WordPress, the site is fully responsive and easy for the practice team to update. We worked closely with the team through each stage, incorporating feedback to ensure the final result met their expectations.

As part of the rebrand, we created a new logo and full visual identity for Sutton Dental. The branding strikes a balance between clean and clinical, and warm and welcoming, using calming colours and modern typography to reflect the practice’s values.
We also created brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all touchpoints, along with a full suite of marketing materials including stationery, appointment cards, business cards, signage, and social media templates. The new identity gives Sutton Dental a cohesive and professional presence, both online and offline.
