The Goal:

Ivy Dental, previously an NHS dentist, has recently introduced a Membership plan for their patients. Dr Malc Newsome and Rachel Newsome were motivated to evaluate their branding, website, and marketing collateral in light of this change. It was important that new Membership plan communicated accessible dentistry at Ivy Dental and a cost saving option to prospective patients in comparison to ‘pay as you go’ and the benefits included within the plan.

To achieve this, MoxieWorks was entrusted with designing a new logo, creating brand guidelines, designing a website that incorporates these guidelines, copywriting and producing practice photography and video.

Logo Design & Branding

The logo design process for Ivy Dental began with a Brand Day at an offsite venue. This day included exercises for Dr Malc Newsome and Rachel Newsome to uncover the practice’s purpose, mission, values, and messaging. Following this, we conducted independent market research into competitors and trends to start the logo conceptualisation process, providing the client with 12 logos for client feedback. Once the new logo was finalised, brand guidelines were created. These guidelines ensure consistent communication, build trust with patients, enhance brand recognition, and establish a professional and cohesive identity across all marketing materials, both online and in print.

After completing the design of the new practice logo and brand guidelines, we shifted our focus to website design, photography, and video.
The website design and development process commenced with a series of collaborative sessions involving Dr Malc Newsome and Rach Newsome. We collaborated with a dental uniform company to select the optimal colours and embroidery for Ivy Dental’s branded uniforms.

The Goal:

Principal Dentist, Dr Julia Morris approached us with a clear objective: to reposition the practice with a new name, look and feel that would resonate with their evolving patient base. Moving from NHS to private membership care marked a significant shift, and it was important that the brand and online and offline presence reflected this change. They needed a new identity, cohesive marketing materials, and a modern, patient-friendly website that would introduce Curzon Park Dental as a high-quality, trusted local provider of private dentistry. 

Website Design and SEO:

The website project began with planning sessions to understand the practice’s goals, services, and how best to communicate their new offering. From there, we created wireframes to define the structure and developed design concepts that incorporated the new branding, tone of voice, and photography. 

We also carried out keyword research and competitor analysis at the start of the project to inform the sitemap and written content. Each page was written in a clear, patient-first voice and optimised for local SEO, helping to support the practice’s growth as they transition into private care.

It was essential that the updated messaging reflect Deacon Dental’s evolving vision and resonate with their patient base as they shifted from NHS to private care.

To bring this vision to life, MoxieWorks was entrusted with designing and developing a comprehensive brand overhaul. This collaborative session enabled us to define and develop Deacon Dental’s mission, vision, purpose, unique selling proposition (USP), and core values.

Following the workshop, we used the insights gathered to craft a Branding Principles presentation and begin the logo conceptualisation process. We presented 12 logo concepts to the team for consideration, each one designed to reflect the new direction and identity of Deacon Dental. Once the final logo was selected, we moved forward with the creation of comprehensive Brand Guidelines.

These Brand Guidelines serve as a set of rules and standards that define how Deacon Dental presents itself to its patients. They include specifications for the visual identity—logo usage, colours, fonts, and tone of voice—as well as practical applications like signage, uniforms, waiting area visuals, and website design. To ensure a well-organised shoot, we developed a detailed shot list that captured Deacon Dental’s professional yet personal approach to patient care.
